It’s a 10 Days Mara & Mount Kenya Hiking Safari which takes you to hike Mt Kenya which is the highest in Kenya and the second highest in Africa after Mt Kilimanjaro. And then visit Masai Mara national reserve and Nairobi national park which are great tourist wildlife areas with high chances of witnessing the annual wildebeest migration, the big five animals, primates and beautiful scenery.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival in Nairobi – leisure time
Be picked up from the airport let’s say Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to Nairobi at the hotel booked. Be amazed with beautiful scenery and then leisure as you prepare through acquiring all the necessities you need while on this safari.
Day 2. Transfer to Mount. Kenya Hike to Old Moses’s camp
Breakfast will be served early morning and then transfer to Mt Kenya for briefing and hiring the porters. The beautiful scenery as you get nearer to the park is very breathtaking and immediately begin the hike to Old Moses’s camp using the Sirimon trekking route. Pass through the montane forest where you get to spot the buffalos, elephants, antelopes, primates and many more others. Head to the camp for your dinner and nap.
Day 3. Hike to Shipton mountain hut
Wake up on breakfast and head for a long hike that will be at taking you to Shipton hut. 14 km will be covered on this day as you look for unique wildlife, birds, hyrax and many more. Arrive and head to the camp for your dinner.
Day 4. Trek to Hausberg Col
This will be a day of acclimatizing as you will be rotating at the same point while preparing for the day’s hike to the summit. The hike will cover about 7km to reach the Hausberg Col as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mt Kenya.
Day 5. Hike to the summit and descend to Met station
Wake up a bit early for a 3 hours hike to the summit of Mt Kenya a trail that will cover a distance of 4 km. Since it’s a steep slope, you will need to climb a rock while on your waPointpoint Lenana which is known as the Hikers Summit. Take photos and enjoy the beautiful view while planning to descend to Mackinder’s Camp for a meal. Descend to the Met station for your last night in the mountain.
Day 6. Descend further and fly to Masai Mara national reserve
Have breakfast and descend through the bamboo forest to the park gate. Sign out and bide a firewall to the hiking crew as you’re flown to Masai Mara national reserve for another great adventure.
Mara plains hosts the annual wildebeest migration moves move in millions together with thousands of zebras. The African big five wild animals won’t be missed on your visit. Arrive and immediately head to the booked lodge.
Day 7&8. Game drives in Mara plains
Spend these days exploring the beautiful scenery and taking part in game drives where you discover the hidden treasure of wildlife. Among others are the laser kudu, dik-dik, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, lions, ostriches, warthogs, giraffes and many more.
There is an option of visiting the Masai community where you learn about one of the African culture’s way of life like the music and dances, tasting dishes, and others.
Day 9. To Nairobi and visit Nairobi national park
Leave Mara and head to Nairobi city with a visit to Nairobi national park where you spot animals like rhinos, gazelles, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, lions, elands, impala, giraffes, ostriches, vultures, wildebeests, cheetahs and more. You will spend your last night in Nairobi at the hotel.
Day 10. Departure day
