Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and transfer to the hotel

Arrive and meet up with a driver guide who will greet you with a big a smile and brief you about your stay in Kenya thereafter, he will drive you to the booked hotel in Nairobi and this will be the beginning of your safari.

Day 2: Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Leave the hotel after breakfast and then head to Amboseli National Park which is one of the unique African destinations with magical view of Mt Kilimanjaro in the background. The journey to this park takes about 3 to 4 hours’ drive including stopovers at the best viewing points. This park has large herds of elephants and other wildlife including lions, buffaloes, antelopes to mention but a few, and on arrival, you will straight head to the lodge, check-in, have lunch and later go for an evening game drive.

You will spot herds of elephants, buffaloes and stunning view of Mt Kilimanjaro which portrays snow. Evening game drive will last till sunset then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Full day game drive in Amboseli

Wake up on a beautiful morning enjoy a delicious breakfast, get your lunch packed and head to the jungle for a full day game drive where you get to spot different land mammals and birds. Some of the animals include; Cheetahs, Wild dogs, Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Lions, Hyrax, Dik-dik and Lesser Kudu among others. Picnic lunch will be served at the animal view points as will be guided by the driver guide.

You will proceed with your game drive, visit different kopjes and scenic viewpoints to take memorable pictures and to spot clearly the animals. After sunset, head back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park

Head to Tsavo west National Park which offers the best of game viewing in the word. Animals that can be seen here are elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards and many more other. The lions in this park are known to be man eaters during the time of railway construction.

Day 5: Game drive in Tsavo west

Wake up in the morning, have a scrumptious breakfast, you can decide to have your lunch packed or go to the jungle and come back to the lodge for lunch. You will engage game drive that will last for the whole day. You will be welcomed by elephants, leopards, lions, cheetahs, zebras, hyenas, topis, kudu, and head to the hippo’s pool where you will meet a school of hippos with elephants swimming and drinking water. This is a meeting point for all the animals, you will enjoy a picnic lunch while you are here, proceed with a game drive till late evening, retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Check-out and transfer to Nairobi

Arise in the morning, enjoy a lazy breakfast, check-out and transfer to Nairobi to get ready for other destinations.

Day 7: Transfer to Samburu and game drive

After a delicious breakfast head to Samburu National Reserve a home to an abundance of rare species of animals such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gazerenuk and the Beisa Oryx. Arrive in the afternoon, check-in to the lodge, have lunch and go for evening game drive, spot some animals, retire to the lodge for dinner.

Day 8: Game drive and transfer to Nakuru National Park

Arise in the morning in beautiful Samburu national park as you take game drive where you spot animals like lion, cheetah and African leopard, olive baboon, warthogs, Grant’s gazelle, Kirk’s dik-dik, impala, and waterbuck and many more others. You will later bid a farewell to Samburu and head to Lake Nakuru National Park a home to beautiful flamingos. You will arrive in the evening hours, check-in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Full day game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park a home to large numbers of flamingos. You expect spot some animal species like Rothschild giraffes, cape buffaloes, olive baboons, impalas, waterbucks, hippos, colobus monkeys, spotted hyenas, zebras, gazelles, leopards.

Have lunch near the lake to enjoy stunning views of the pink color that flamingos shade the shore. Thereafter, you will retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Naivasha

Leave Lake Nakuru and then head to Lake Naivasha which is part of the East African Rift Valley and a home to different wild animals such as bushbucks, common zebra, giraffe and Grant’s gazelles, bush bucks, waterbucks among other animals. It is also famous for spectacular view of the great East African Rift Valley. Arrive in the afternoon, check-in the lodge, enjoy a hot lunch and have an evening game drive in the park to spot some animals and then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

Begin the day with breakfast and then transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve a home to diverse wildlife including the wildebeest that migrate from Serengeti in large numbers. Apart from the wildebeests, there is a lot to spot such as lions, hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, lesser kudus, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, oribi, waterbucks, bush bucks and many more others. Arrive and head to the lodge and this marks the end of the day.

Day 12&13: Explore Mara Mara

You will spot other species for example cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, bush bucks, water bucks gazelles to mention but a few. Birds and beautiful sceneries will also be on your checklist.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking Mara River where wildebeests will be crossing from Serengeti and this migration attracts savannah predators more especially lions, leopards, cheetahs and here you will be lucky to spot these predators tempting to make a kill. Proceed with a game drive till late evening and retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Check-out and departure

Have a lazy breakfast at your pace or depending on your scheduled flight and then head to Nairobi where you can decide to do a shopping for souvenirs, have lunch en-route and then be dropped at the Airport. This marks the end of the safari in Kenya.
