Our Bwindi Gorillas & Mara Safari takes you to visit the mountain gorillas in Bwindi National park in Uganda and the wildlife in Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. This means that the tour involves spotting the Africa’s big five animals which are; lion, leopards, rhino, elephants and buffalo, high chances of witnessing the annual wildebeest migration, bush breakfast and picnic lunch will also be enjoyed will in the jungle.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and city tour

Our safari guide will pick you from the Airport and then have a Kigali city tour where you encounter attractions like the Kimironko market which sale local and fresh produce, the religious sites like mosques and churches, museums like the Kigali genocide museum. There is a lot to see more than what is listed, later on, head to the hotel for your accommodation.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi N/P and visit Batwa community

Leave Kigali with beautiful view and head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park a home to the rare species of the mountain gorillas.
Arrive and take part and visit the Batwa community who will take you through the cultural setting of Africa through the music, dance and drama, dress code, meals and more.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking adventure

Have an early morning breakfast and by 8:00am be at the park offices ready to attend briefing. Briefing is important as you go through the guidelines you follow while trekking.
Trekking will take about 2-6 hours in the jungle including an hour with the gorillas, head back to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and dinner.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali and fly to Nairobi, depart for Masai Mara

Drive back to Kigali after breakfast with a departure flight to Nairobi Kenya. Arrive and get on another flight to Masai Mara National Reserve with perfect views of the rift valley escarpment below. Arrive and head to the lodge, check-in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 & 6: Masai Mara exploration

Spend these days taking part in the game drive and hot air ballooning. There is a lot of adventure in this Mara plains through spotting animals. Like lions, elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, rhinos, wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, giraffes and primates. Witness the annual wildebeest migration that move in millions together with thousands of zebras.

Day 7: Transfer back to Nairobi & Fly home

Enjoy a buffet breakfast and if you enjoy fruits, this is the best time to eat them for the last time while on this great 7 days Bwindi and Masai Mara Safari.
