Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be picked up by our company representative, he will brief you on your 10 days best of Kenya wildlife safari trip and then transfer to Lake Nakuru Park located in the northern section of the country. You will arrive at the park in the afternoon, check-in and later go for evening game drive to explore this tiny but vibrant national park.
While here you will explore the shores of lake Nakuru famous for having the largest flocks of lesser and greater flamingos. You will be in position to observe them covering almost the whole lake. In addition to this you will encounter other bird species like green wood hoopes, African fish eagle, cliff chats, and tawny eagles among others.
While here you will also have a great opportunity to meet Rothschild giraffes plus Black and white rhinos in large numbers since it’s their main sanctuary in east Africa. After your game drive head back to your lodge for refreshments and a mouthwatering dinner. Retire for the night and wait for tomorrow’s adventures.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Lake Naivasha
Rise up early to a fantastic breakfast and afterwards check out from your lodge and do a game drive using a trail that will reward you the opportunity of catching the big cats like lions, cheetahs and leopards on the hunt for the morning prey. You will also have big opportunities to catch different bird species like the Great flamingos, Great white & pink backed pelicans, cliff chats, and Green wood hoopes.
After this, connect to the well-known beautiful Lake Naivasha. The lake unlike Lake Nakuru is a freshwater lake and few water bodies can compete with its stunning beauty. While here birders will have an opportunity to relish the rich diversity the lake has to offer. Lake Naivasha is a gazzeted bird sanctuary and offers birders with species like ospreys, lily trotters, fish eagles, herons, black crakes etc.
Birders have a chance to explore more than 450 species along with its stunning surrounding. Later retire to your lodge for dinner and night rest.
Day 3: Transfer to Masai Mara national reserve
Wake up early, have a scrumptious breakfast, check out of your lodge and head for an excursion at Crescent Island. This is an exciting island near the Eastern shores of Lake Naivasha. The island is unique and was set apart as a wildlife sanctuary with visitors able to encounter animals like wildebeests, giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, zebras amongst others. Along the boat ride keep an eye out for the resident bird species like African fish eagles, lily trotters, a variety of herons, kingfisher’s ospreys among others. Immediately after your excursion to Crescent island transfer to Masai Mara.
The park is hosts all of the big five in its savannah plains and borders Serengeti national park another reputable game park for safaris. Day 4: Full day game drive in Masai Mara
After an early refreshing breakfast, you will head out into the vast stunning savanna plains with packed lunch. On this day you will have a full day gaming experience from morning to evening. This will reward you with the best opportunities to explore this vast park and encounter its large number of fauna and flora it hosts. These include large numbers of wildebeests, zebras, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelles, big cats like lions, cheetah and sometimes the shy leopard can be spotted trying to pick from this big menu.

Day 5: Second Full day Masai Mara exploration
Just like your fourth day rise up early to a delicious breakfast and head out to other sections you did not have time to explore on the previous day. You will also go with well-prepared packed lunch and explore this different section of Masai Mara. This reward travelers with extra opportunities to encounter the African big five of the elusive leopard, lion, buffalo, rhino and elephant alongside other park residents like wildebeests, plain zebras, impalas, giraffe among others.
An optional activity on this day is hot air ballooning. This activity can be arranged in the early morning before the sun comes out. You will relish one full hour flying over the great savanna plains viewing the game with an advantage of the aerial view. The experience is very exciting and memorable which you shouldn’t miss if you have the opportunity to visit Masai Mara. This activity depends on weather and might be rescheduled basing on the weather.
Day 6: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
On your sixth day you will wake up at your convenience, have breakfast before checking out and head to amazing Amboseli National Park. You will reach in the evening and this will award you with the chance to observe some wildlife winding up their day. This will give you a glimpse of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. This is recorded as the highest mountain in Africa. After you will retire to your lodge for checking, and if time allows have an evening game drive. Day 7: Full day Amboseli experience
Rise early have a quick breakfast and embark on an early promising game drive. Amboseli is one of the best African destinations to have a close encounter with the savannah elephants. On top of this guests to the park have a chance to explore different wildlife from lions, wildebeests, cheetah, elusive leopard, various monkey species among others. Amboseli is a notable birders’ haven with species like Egyptian geese, pelicans, African fish eagles, different kingfishers, sunbirds, herons, turacos among others. Day 8: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park
Have an early breakfast check out and transfer to Tsavo West National Park which is just an hour’s drive from Amboseli National Park. You will reach in time for the morning game drive and explore this section of the park that holds the record for the largest elephant population. Other mammals are but not limited to Burchell’s zebras, elands, Grant’s gazelles, buffalo, hartebeests and Kobs.
All these are very easy to spot and are in abundance. Following the game drive head to the lodge for lunch and rest for about an hour. Hereafter have an excursion to the rhino sanctuary and if time allows explore the Mzima springs before going back to your lodge for dinner.
Day 9: Transfer to Tsavo East national park
Following breakfast, you will check-out and head for the Eastern section of Tsavo National Park. This part is the largest gazetted wildlife sanctuary and holds all the big five and also boasts in hosting the big number of brown elephants.
Check-in to your lodge, have lunch and later head out into this vast wilderness for another awesome game drive. Don’t forget to capture memories of your game drive in this famous National Park.
Day 10: Game drive and departure
On your last day you will wake up, checkout of your room and go for the morning game drive. This will be special as it will include a picnic breakfast and also a chance to catch the predators like lions, leopard and hyenas on the hunt for the first meal of the day.
