Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival and pick up
On the first day of your 10 days Rwanda gorillas, Nakuru, Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari you will be received by our representative at the airport. Following a warm welcome and exchanging introductions you will be transferred to Volcanoes national park located in the northern part of Rwanda. Along your transfer which is a 3-4 hours’ drive, you will encounter beautiful countryside and witness the reason why Rwanda is coined as the land of a thousand hills.
You are free to have a stopover to capture some of the beautiful landscapes around you. Upon arrival at the park, you will check in have some beverages as you wait for dinner and prepare for gorilla trekking tomorrow.
Day 2: Volcanoes national park (gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali)
Wake up today very early for breakfast and for gorilla trekking which is a memorable experience. This is because it offers travellers an exclusive opportunity to trek and explore the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Volcanoes national park is one of the three destinations where one can encounter these magnificent beasts in their natural territory.
It is a wonderful experience which calls for some physical effort, but it’s undeniably worth it. After breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters for briefing and grouping. Here you will be given guidelines on what to do while trekking, like keeping with the group at all times, using low voices, no flash photography and staying 7m away from the gorillas.
After your briefing you will get on the trail to track the gorillas, this might take 2-6 hours depending on how far the gorillas travelled since they were last spotted. Upon finding them you are allowed one full hour after which you will retire back to your lodge for lunch and refresh. Be sure to capture some of the memories as souvenirs of your meeting these impressive mountain giants.
Day 3: Fly to Kigali and Nairobi
Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast, check out of your hotel with the assistance of your guide and head to Kigali airport to transfer to Nairobi. Upon landing in Nairobi, you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel for afternoon and evening lodging. You can have a brief tour around Nairobi to experience the nightlife of this vibrant African city.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru
After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Lake Nakuru National in the northern part of Kenya. You will be treated to a delicious lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive along the shores of Lake Nakuru. Here you will come across different animal species like zebras, rhinos, elands, buffalos, waterbucks, and predators like lions that usually follow these herds to pick their next meal. After game drive head back to your lodge for lodging rest and dinner.
Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer back to Nairobi
After breakfast, you will check out of your room and start your transfer back to Nairobi. Before this, you will have a brief morning game drive to catch the wonderful morning hours experienced in the park with the sun rays reflecting on the alkaline waters and the numerous flocks of birds shifting like waves.
You might encounter black and white rhinos), cape buffaloes, olive baboons, gazelles, waterbucks, pythons hippos, spotted hyenas, Rothschild giraffes, impalas, zebras, colobus monkeys, among others. Also on a lucky day catch some predators like lions taking down their morning prey. Finally, connect to Nairobi and your hotel for check-in. Later in the evening have an outing to enjoy the exhilarating nightlife in the city. But retire early in preparation for next day’s journey.
Day 6: Fly to Serengeti National Park.
After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and embark on a flight transfer to Serengeti national park. This will be a 1-2 hours’ flight transfer over the beautiful Kenya and Tanzania countryside. You will come across farmlands, rolling savannas and amazing plateaus.
You will land in Serengeti in the late afternoon, have lunch at the lodge before an evening game drive if you desire. Serengeti is one of the best destinations one can encounter all the African big five – leopard, lion, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Or else you could just opt to rest at the lodge.
Day 7 Full-day in Serengeti national park.
You will have a full-day experience in Serengeti national park where you will get a chance to meet African Big 5 – elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo. In addition to these, you encounter amazing wildlife like Masai giraffe, plain zebras, antelopes, cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, warthogs and several bird species.
After your morning game drive, have a picnic lunch in this vast and stunning African savanna. Hereafter, follow it up with an afternoon game drive to explore more of this gigantic national park. This extra game drive offers the opportunity to encounter more animal species probably you could have missed on the morning game drive.
Day 8: Game drive and transfer to Ngorongoro crater
You will have an early breakfast and check out of your lodge. You will head out for one last game drive before leaving this wonderful park. The driver will drive at a slower pace to give you a chance to observe the wildlife as you depart from Serengeti national park. You will transfer to Ngorongoro where you will reach in the late afternoon. After go back to your lodge for the evening and dinner.
Day 9: Full day in Ngorongoro
On your ninth and second last day, you will wake up early for a wonderful breakfast. Before heading deep into the crater for a full-day experience. While here you will have the opportunity to be in the world’s biggest caldera and view a wide range of fauna grazing alongside the local livestock.
The reserve is one place in Africa where you can witness the locals living in harmony with wildlife. Animals here you could meet include. Elephants, giraffes, lions, rare leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, wildebeests and black rhinos as well as other interesting mammals. Have a picnic lunch overlooking this caldera to save time for more game viewing. Later in the evening retire to your lodge after a rewarding day in this amazing savanna paradise.
Day 10: Transfer to Arusha
Wake up leisurely for a brilliant breakfast and embark on your transfer back to Arusha and departure. Your driver guide will drive slowly for you to watch the animals as you depart from this wonderful wilderness.
Be sure to take some photos as souvenirs while exploring the world’s largest caldera. Drop off in Arusha airport or hotel as planned. This will mark the end of your 10 days safari in Tanzania.
