Serengeti national park is one of the famous national parks in the world providing travelers with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities and these has been made possible by conservation efforts by the park authorities and tourists that support conservation.

Serengeti park regulations
Rules and regulations have been put in place in order for humans to coexist with wildlife at the park without causing damage to wildlife and their natural habitat as well as protecting humans from wild animals and other dangers. These park regulations are usually displayed at entry points and your guide will also brief you as you enter the park. It should b noted that these regulations come with penalties incase the rules are broken by you or your guide so endeavor to abide by the Serengeti national park rules and regulations to be on a safe side. You are not allowed to litter in the park, all rubbish should be kept in your car and thrown at designated areas at the lodge or in the park.
The park is open from 6am to 6pm. You will not be allowed to enter the park before 6am or exit after 6pm.
While driving at the park, you’re supposed to maintain a speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour to avoid knocking animals which are ever on the move.
Off track driving is not allowed in Serengeti national park. Except with special permissions from the park authorities and comes with a fee attached to it.
Collection of specimens like plants, feathers, bones, stones and other things in the park is not allowed. Except for visitors doing research, people doing research will be granted permission to collect specimen under supervision of park rangers.
Making noise, hooting and banging cars is not allowed in Serengeti national park because this can distract wildlife.
You are not allowed to get so close to wildlife. Always keep a distance of atleast 100 meters except if it’s the animal coming close to the car.
Feeding animals while in the park is not allowed at all, animals know how to ferry for themselves.
Smoking while in the park is not allowed except at designated areas.
You’re not allowed to camp or picnic just anywhere in the park except at designated areas.
Pets are not allowed at the park.
Tourists are not allowed to imitate animals or call them while in the park.
During game drives, a maximum of only 5 cars is allowed to surround one animal. And should observe and take photos for 20 minutes and give room for other vehicles.
