Wildebeests are mammals found in East and South Africa divided into two species of blue/common wildebeests and black wildebeests. The wildebeests migration that happens between Masai Mara national reserve and Serengeti national park every year is done by the blue/common wildebeests.
Common wildebeests have white, black and tan hairy bodies weighing between 136 to 272 kilograms. The lifespan of wildebeests is 15 to 20 years in the wilderness. Wildebeests are territorial animals where males dominate temporal and permanent territories.
Wildebeests are constantly on the moving looking for fresh water and greener pastures. They mainly feed on grass and sometimes look for trees and shrubs to feed on when the grass is scarce. Wildebeests drink water twice a day one of the reasons they always move in search of water.

They attract females by expelling feces in their territories whereby when a female enters the territory the male will ate with her and if another male enters, they fight. Female wildebeests give birth after 8 and half months of being pregnant.
