Ngorongoro Crater Entry Fees: Essential Information for Visitors

The Ngorongoro conservation area is home to the famous Ngorongoro crater which is the largest unfilled and intact caldera in the world covering an area of 8,292 kilometers squared. Ngorongoro Entry Fee

Ngorongoro entry fee: Foreign non resident adults pay $71 while their children pay $24. Foreign residents will pay $35 for adults and $12 for their children. East African citizens will pay 11,800 Tshs for adults while children pay 2,360 Tzshs Children under the age of 5 years won’t be charged Entry fee.

For those interested in walking Safaris, you will need to pay a certain amount to walk in Ngorongoro crater. East African citizens and Tanzanian citizens will pay 11,800 Tzshs for adults and 5,900 for children, foreign non resident and foreign resident adults will pay $24 while children pay $12 for walking Safaris. The fee for nature walks will sometimes depend on the time spent walking.

For those that want to camp at the public campsites. East African citizens and Tanzanian citizens will pay 11,800 Tzshs for adults. 5,900 Tzshs for kids, foreign non residents and foreign residents will pay $35 first adults and $12 for kids. Special private campsite fee is 17,000 Tzshs for adult Tanzanian and East African citizens, 8, 850 for their children.

Crater fees per vehicle is Tanzanian shillings 11,800. Aircraft landing will depend on the size of aircrafts that is. Up to 4 seater will pay 11,800 Tzshs, 5-12 seater will pay 17,700 Tzshs, 13-20 seater will pay 23,6pp Tzshs and over 20 seater aircrafts will pay Tzshs 59,000.

Hot air balloon Safaris also charge different fees for wildlife Watching. Foreign residents will pay $40 and East African citizens will pay Tzshs 47,200 for hot air balloon Safaris.

Tourists only go with a receipt to the park showing proof of payment. Paying at the park gate using a credit, master or visa card with attract extra charges for processing fees.
