Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & transfer to your hotel (Nairobi capital)
Arrival and pick up at Nairobi Airport in Kenya. Have a short briefing at the airport and drive up to the hotel pre-booked by your ground tour operator in Kenya.
Day 2: Nairobi to Sweet waters Sanctuary
Leave Nairobi early for Sweet waters Game Sanctuary, arrive Nanyuki for lunch break and proceed to your accommodation facility for relaxation. Early arrival, and embark on a guided game drive through the sanctuary for you to search for cheetahs, elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions and others.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru -flamingo paradise
Depart the Sweetwater for Lake Nakuru NP, the birder’s most preferred destination and enroute, you will be provided lunch. Arrive early and embark on a guided game drive in the park, spend good time searching for wildlife such as the Rothschild giraffes, black rhinos, plus millions of flamingos.
Day 4: Departure game drive for Maasai Mara
Leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara, first descend to Lake Naivasha for short boat ride as you search for birds and lazing hippos. Enjoy lunch enroute and proceed to Masai Mara and if you arrive early, you may undertake evening game drive.
Day 5-6: Explore Maasai Mara Reserve wildlife
Start your exploration with a hearty breakfast and set off for a search for wildlife and bird species. The Maasai Mara game drive includes spotting wildlife such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, zebras, buffaloes, elephants and you will also watch the great wildebeest migration.
Day 7: Connect to Tanzania’s Serengeti via Isebania
Drive to Serengeti National Park from Masai Mara to Serengeti NP, clear at Isebania and connect to the park. Clear at the border and proceed to your comfortable safari camp/lodge.
Day 8: Go marvel at Serengeti wildlife
After breakfast, go enjoy full day guided game drive with an experienced guide. The morning and afternoon Serengeti game drive will enrich you with incredible sights of the big five game and other animal species. The wildebeest migration experience is the other highlight not to be missed on your long day game excursion.
Day 9: Visit Ngorongoro crater
In the morning, start your day drive to Ngorongoro and enroute, make stop visit at the Olduvai Gorge, explore its Louis and Mary Leakey significant discoveries. Head to the Ngorongoro to settle for a leisurely lunch and later, proceed on a guided walking excursion along the Northern Crater Rim. This is a perfect spot to see elephants, buffaloes, and several monkeys.
Day 10-11: Full day exploration at the Crater
Begin your 2 full day excursion at the Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the crater for an unforgettable game drive. Enjoy lunch inside the Ngorongoro Crater and proceed with a search for wildlife like elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, zebras, jackals, antelopes and more.
Day 12: Drive to Arusha
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and start driving to Arusha where you will be departing back home. This brings to an end the special 12 Days Kenya Tanzania Adventure.
