NORTHERN SERENGETI, LOBO AND LOOLIONDO CONSERVATION AREA – The northern sector of Serengeti consists of Lobo and Looliondo areas, its usually not congested with crowds like other sectors of the park. This part of Serengeti is characterized with acacia woodlands, granite rocky outcrops, rolling green hills and open savanna grasslands. The northern sector of Serengeti is also home to the highest number of Elephants in Serengeti national park.

Getting there
The northern sector of Serengeti can be reached in 11 hours by road from Arusha town. The easiest way to reach Northern Serengeti is by using daily scheduled chartered flights from Arusha, Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar.
