Seronera airstrip
The Seronera airstrip is the largest and mainly used by many travelers to Serengeti national park due to its approximate location close to many lodges and hotels. The airstrip has a length of 2280 meters. It serves several number of airlines operating to and from Serengeti national park.
Kogatende airstrip
Kogatende airstrip serves the northern part of Serengeti national park close to the border of Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya. Tourists landing to the park through Kogatende can access the park through Klein’s gate and Bologonja gate.
Lamai airstrip
Lamai airstrip is also located at the northern part of Serengeti national park bordering Masai Mara game reserve. Daily flights operate in this airstrip especially during the peak season of June to September when most people are interested in seeing the river crossings at the great Mara River and Grumeti River.
Kusini airstrip
The Kusini airstrip serves the southern sector of Serengeti national park and usually gets busy from December to April when the wildebeest’s migration herds are present in the southern sector of the park. Tourists visiting Kusini area can also visit Ngorongoro conservation area and Olduvai Gorge.
Lobo airstrip
Lobo airstrip is also situated at the northern sector of Serengeti national park and only 28 kilometres from, the drive to the Klein’s gate of the park is 30 minutes and the drive to Bologonja is 1 hour. The airstrip serves accommodation options and tourist attractions at the northern part of Serengeti.
Kirawira airstrip
Kirawira airstrip is located at the western part of Serengeti national park close to the Grumeti river where the first river crossing of the great wildebeest migration takes place from late May to June. Tourists landing here can also visit Grumeti game reserve.
