Serengeti national park
Serengeti national Park is located in the northern part of Tanzania neighboring Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya. The park is renown for the greatest wildlife show on earth where 1.5 million wildebeests and thousands of other antelopes embark on a journey to search for greener pastures and water.

Arusha national park
Arusha national park is one of Tanzania’s little but famous national parks situated in Arusha region, despite its small size, Arusha national park is an array of beauty with three distinct spectacular landscapes. This park is home to mount Meru which is the second highest mountain in Tanzania and it also hosts a variety of momella lakes.
Tarangire national park
Tarangire national park is located in Manyara region of Tanzania covering an area of 2850 kilometers squared, if you’re a lover of Elephants, then this the place to be because it’s famous for its large herds of Elephants and numerous baobab trees. A small migration consisting of wildebeests, zebras and other antelopes takes place at the park.
Lake Manyara national park
Lake Manyara national park is famous for its tree climbing lions not found elsewhere except in Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda. Manyara national park has 670 species of flowering plants and ferns, 180 species of butterflies and 390 species of birds. In the 1980s Lake Manyara was among the highest wildlife biomass in Africa.
Kilimanjaro national park
Kilimanjaro national park is home to Africa’s highest mountain and highest free standing mountain in the world. Mount Kilimanjaro is easy to climb attracting over 50000 climbers including young and old people.

Nyerere national park
Nyerere national park is the country’s largest national park. Covering an area of 30893 kilometers squared. The park was named after Tanzania’s late first president Julius Nyerere. It’s pristine wilderness is an habitat to a variety of wildlife and birds.
Katavi national park
Katavi national park is one of Tanzania’s least visited national parks. Due to its location in a remote area. Some of the wildlife are the park include elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, hippos, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards and many others.
Bugiri Chato national park
Bugiri Chato is one of the country’s largest and newest national parks established in 2019. The park is an ideal destination for botanists with very rare plant species recorded.
Gombe stream national park
Gombe stream national park is located at the shores of Lake Tanganyika, this is one of the only park in Tanzania where you can find common chimpanzees, it was also the location where Jane Good hall pioneered her behavioral research of chimpanzees. Other primates found at the park include, blue monkeys, red tailed monkeys, velvet monkeys, olive baboons and many others.
Ibanda kyerwa national park
Recently upgraded to a national park in 2019. It’s famous for permitted hunting safaris in Tanzania and also its beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
Kigosi national park
Kigosi national park hosts Moyowosi/Malagarasi wetland complex which is the largest wetland complex in East Africa. The park is home to various species of wildlife and also a birders paradise with species such as the rare shoebill stork, pygmy geese and wattle crane among the rest.
Kitulo national park
Kitulo national park offers an outstanding experience for botanists located at the southern plains of Tanzania between Kipengere and Poroto mountains.
Mahale mountains national park
Mahalo mountains national park is also unique. Its one of the two national parks where chimpanzees are found in Tanzania. There are no roads or infrastructure at Mahale national park.
Mikumi national park
Mikumi national park also dubbed little Serengeti due to its landscape similar to Serengeti national park is located Morogoro Tanzania.

Mkomazi national park
Covering an area of 3234 kilometers squared bordering Tsavo west national park in Kenya. The park is home to various species of wildlife like lions, common elands, hartebeests, black rhinos, African wild dogs, grant’s gazelles and African elephants.
Ruaha national park
Ruaha was first gazetted as Saba game reserve in 1910 by the colonial government. The name was later changed to Rungwa game reserve. And finally Ruaha national park in 1964. The park is one of the top birding destinations in Tanzania with 571 species of birds recorded.
Rubondo island national park
Rubondo island national park is situated on an island in Lake Victoria. It covers an area of 465 kilometers squared its an ideal place for birders and those interested in sport fishing.
Rumanyika Karagwe national park
Rumanyika Karagwe is one of the least visited national parks in the country. But nevertheless it’s home to wildlife such as giraffes, bushbucks, warthogs, leopards, waterbucks, mpalas and buffalos among the rest.
Saldana national park
Saadani national park is located in Tanga region of Tanzania. Covering an area of 1100 kilometers squared, it’s one of the country’s newest national parks.
Saanane island national park
Saanane island national park is one of the two island national park. Located at Lake Vitoria, the park derives its name from a fisherman and local farmer. He used to reside there known as Saanane Chavandi. The park is home to some 40 species of birds recorded and several wildlife.
Ugalla river national park
Deriving its name from Ugalla river which is the main water source of the park. The national park is one of the newest in Tanzania providing an habitat for various wild animals and bird species.
Udzungwa mountains national park
Udzungwa mountains national park is one of the country’s unique national parks dominates by the Udzungwa mountains.
